Ride 2:41:00 [3] 53.0 km (3:02 / km)
weight:4.5kg shoes: Crusty Merida

Had to leave the car at the office this arvo as I start 5 (FIVE!!!!!) weeks leave today. Commuted home from Coburg staying on bike tracks all the way to Black Rock. Got a little lost around Flemington Bridge doing a couple of u-turns trying to re-find the bike track. Had a head wind pretty much all the way home which was tough as I was carrying a very heavy bag as well. Stopped off at Aspendale to see Steven for about 20 minutes and picked up our two free tickets to see the Roos play tomorrow night (from the Medallion Club!) at Docklands. Got home just after dark.

Ride 1:49:00 [3] 40.0 km (2:44 / km) +700m 2:30 / km
slept:7.5 shoes: Crusty Merida

Rode bike tracks out to The Basin then UP Old Ferntree Gully Rd (didn't realise how steep this was - small ring on the road and the rear tyre was still slipping). Then rode half way up the One In 20 till Dave came passed and collected me. By this stage it was dark and I had no lights so was riding in the gravel / muddy shoulder. I was happy for the lift. I still haven't adjusted to non--daylight-saving time.
