Run 1:19:30 [3] 13.0 km (6:07 / km) +750m 4:45 / km
slept:9.0 shoes: Nike Zoom Structure

Arvo run with Dave around the normal Moggs Creek loop from Fairhaven. Dave put the early pressure on to crack the 1hr20min mark so ended up being a bit of a pressure run. Didn't feel too bad, but Dave beat me to the top of the three steep pinches. Copped way too many spider webs, plus cunsuming one spider - not pleasant.

slept:9.0 shoes: Merida 96 WEAPON

Arvo ride out to the bottom of One Tree Hill. Rode Bellvue Track to the top in a pretty slick time (24.40mins). Then rode around to Sassafrass, onto School Track then Dandenong Creek Trail, Camilla, Bills, the Hurdy Gurdy then back to the Doongalla gates via the single track. From here rode directly to meet Dave at his work as he had a late finish. Good ride and felt pretty strong, didn't take enough food though. Saw two echidnas beside the tracks too.

Note
(rest day)

TIRED. Worked two shifts yesterday, finishing the second one at 1am .... even though it was a public holiday.

Ride 1:36:00 [3] 42.0 km (2:17 / km)
slept:7.0 shoes: Crusty Merida

Rode out to Bayswater along the Eastlink Track to meet Dave. Rode a little harder than I wanted to because I was being chased by a roadie towing a trailer with a little kid in it. Once I passed him he was seriously trying to chase me back. My legs were a little flat from yesterday's effort.
7 PM

Run race (Street-O) 43:55 [5] 8.1 km (5:25 / km) +287m 4:36 / km
shoes: Nike Zoom Structure

Street-O at Ferntree Gully. Set the challenge out to Rob P to race each other to be back first with me doing B grade and Rob doing A grade. Not surprisingly I smashed him by about 15 minutes. Again not surprisingly, the Australian Orienteering High Performance Manager misunderstood the instructions and got all the controls, meaning 4 extra. Rookie mistake :-) Anyway, the course I ran was not that efficient, but not too bad either. Legs were terrible for the first half but came good for the second half.
