Gym (Snakebite) 20:00 [5]

Did my new version of the Snakebite - 10 x push-ups, and a 15 second 'brace' / 'bridge' (whatever they're called) every 1 minute for 20 minute = 200 push-ups and 5 minutes of braces!! HARD! My form dropped off a bit each minute but hung in there to get the full 20 minutes. Got about 20sec rest each minute. I'm already hurting. Can't get myself off the couch.

Ride 4:00:00 [3] 24.0 km (10:00 / km)
shoes: Giant XTC Team

Back out at Mt Crosby to collect the remaining CPs. Cleared the northern section today, and nav'ed much better on the bike. Had to pay a little bit more attention today as there were a few missing marked tracks. Steeper terrain where I had to push several times and I suffered a bit with the heat. I was rationing my limited water from the 3 hour mark, and drank 2.5L of cordial once back at the car.

Trek 2:25:00 [3] 10.0 km (14:30 / km)

A lot more off track collection today. Nailed them all bar one where I did several loops trying to find a creek junction - there were about 4. Missed my exit point on the last one when I was off with the fairies almost leaving my bike behind. A very hot and humid day. The car thermostat was reading 30 degrees before I got out of the car, and the sun wasn't even out!

Ride 5:30:00 [3] 45.0 km (7:20 / km)
shoes: Giant XTC Team

Big day out in the Mt Crosby area collecting controls for the Rogue guys after their 8hr Adventuregaine event on the weekend. I could only fit 8 flags in my bag because they were made of corflute, which meant I had to go to and from the car a few times. I also car shuffled a bit to speed up the whole process. Navigated better than I expected, but was helped by a fairly accurate map. I still found my self stopping regulary as I'm not great at following the map whilst riding. There were no easy k's with mostly rutted / rocky / hilly tracks.

Trek 1:30:00 [3] 7.0 km (12:51 / km)
shoes: Salomon XA Pro (multi)

Carried my shoes also as about half of the controls were off track as they were designated trek leg CPs. I left my bike behind for these, and was always relieved that when I returned I could find my bike!

Run 34:10 [3] 6.0 km (5:42 / km)
shoes: Nike Structure 12

Had another massage this morning. Ran to the river and back avoiding the footpaths, with a couple of walk breaks. My soleus pain appears to have gone, but felt a little twinge in my left achilles near the heal in the last kilometre. Moving in the right direction though.
