12 PM

Run 31:30 [3] 5.9 km (5:20 / km)
shoes: Nike Structure 12

River loop from home. The grass was all very soggy, leading to hot heavy shoes. It's way too hot to be running at midday!

Gym (Snakebite) 20:00 [5]

Snakebite. Sets of 13 push-ups again = 260 total. Did it far easier than last time and form much better.

8 AM

Ride 1:14:55 [3] 29.5 km (2:32 / km)
shoes: Giant TCR One (road)

Morning ride to test out the new gear ratios on the road bike. Rode from home, one lap of Mt Coot-tha and back home. The challenge was to see if I had enough gears to do it all seated - I did, although it was still a hard climb, and I wasn't able to do it easy by spinning. Did 13.15 which isn't too fast, but I wasn't trying to be. The new gears will definitely make road riding more fun.
4 PM

Run 31:40 [3] 5.9 km (5:22 / km)
shoes: Nike Structure 12

Run from home. Hot.

Run 32:05 [3] 5.9 km (5:26 / km)
shoes: Nike Structure 12

Morning run from home around my river loop. Did a steady ~500m effort up a gradual uphill. It wasn't fast but felt quite good. Struggled the next km to recover. It's getting hot!
3 PM

Ride 1:46:00 [3] 30.0 km (3:32 / km)
shoes: Giant XTC Team

From home over to Gap Creek and back. Feeling good.

Ride 2:10:10 [3] 36.65 km (3:33 / km)
shoes: Giant XTC Team

Same ride as Saturday from home through Gap Creek and over Mt Coot-tha. Dave replaced my broken spoke yesterday so I was back on the hardtail. The rear wheel is as true as can be!
11 AM

Ride 5:30 [3] 2.0 km (2:45 / km)
shoes: Giant TCR One (road)

Dave showed even more talent yesterday and replaced my chain and cassette, plus fitted my new compact cranks on my road bike. I took it for a very quick spin to the closest hill and back to test the gears. Good as new!! I'm looking forward to riding a few hills on it now as I've changed from a 39-23 set up to a 34-26. Look out and thanks Dave!
