Morning run with Dave. Ran down to the river and along to Brisbane Canoeing where there is a HUGE (3 levels, about 15m long) boat beached up near the building. The water is now at least 2m lower so it's a strange sight. We then kept running along the bike track around the oval where we did a 400m hard interval. Max speed was 3.25pace, Dave had me covered even when I tried to break him - got me by 10m. I didn't recover too well and struggled the next couple of kms, but came good for the last couple. It's a good start though.

Normal snakebite - total of 260 push-ups. I really struggled for the last 3 minute sets.

From home, loop around Gap Creek and back over Mt Coot-tha. The road was closed past the canoe club so went over thenhill via Moggill Rd to the bike track. When riding down Mt Coot-tha the road was closed from the lookout so had to ride back over the undulations and down the back side. I thought my climbing was done for the day so this hurt me a bit. It was worth it for the twisty descent down the other side though - >60km/h all the way with no brakes, but holding on pretty tight around a few of the corners. Decided I'd ride back passed the canoe club and road works on the footpath but was turned back about 40m short of it. This hurt me again as I had to climb up the steep road hill (Kate St?) to get around. Good to be back on the bike after so much wet.

Same as the other day - through park, along Oxley Rd, turnaround at the canoe club and back along Laurel Av. Went fairly solidly in parts.

Same loop as yesterday but not quite all the way to the canoe club as the boardwalk part was closed. Felt much better than yesterday.

Loop down Oxley Rd over the bridge (checked out the canoe club which is still 1.5m under water, with I presume an empty 10000L water tank stuck in the trees next to it), and back via Laurel Av. Too hot.

Did a hard session on the spin bike - 10mims warm-up, 9 x 3 mins hard, 2 mims spin, 5 mins warm-down. Hard and sweaty - set myself up in front of the air conditioner.

Dave and I spent a few hours on Saturday with a big fire hose, a pump, and a shovel washing out Dave's bosses backyard which was full of mud, using his pool water. I have pulled up very sore through my middle back and both biceps. Those hoses are heavy.
