Ride (Melton 5th Cyclogaine) 4:39:00 [3] 102.6 km (2:43 / km)

Cyclogaine with Dave and Rob D at Melton. Planned a route to clear it and did it with 21mins to spare, winning overall. Noone else cleared it. Dave and Rob did a great job with the nav, while I did the admin of marking off the CP answers. Survived well after not doing too much for a while now.

Morning ride on very exposed bike tracks on a very windy day! In the most exposed part in the first 10 kms I was blown off the track about 5-6 times, with the worst ending with a foot and a hand on the ground after the front wheel was pushed in some loose gravel. Ride took nearly 10 minutes longer than usual.

Late arvo paddle with Dave and Wol both on ocean skis. I expected a slow paddle but Wol was paddling really well and well above my expectations. I won the first bridge sprint, but was well outdone for the second.
