Orienteering 34:04 [4]
shoes: Ascis Gel cumulus 11

Bristol uni sprint race.

The biggest problem about this race was the event itself. It should've been used for the british sprint champs not a wednesday evening event. Fantastic, possibly the most technical sprint area i've ever run on. Some fiendish controls, and a housing estate that shat on livingston. I was wetting myself with excitment. I think it would be easier to list controls were I was clean than made mistakes... loads of 2 to 20 s mistakes.
1 there was a family group huddled round the control wondering what it was.
3 tried to go in one too early
4 had to wait for cars
6 hesitated on getting the middle level and backtracked
8 bad route choice
16 slightly hesitant, i actually physcially stopped on my wya to work out what was going on, this is one of the toughest legs I've come across. brilliant split level, clearly mapped. As a result i comfortable have the quickest split time :-),
18 searched on wrong bit, even after unfolding map to look at description
19, went to far side - it was on near side, again if had description on hoepfully would've avoided this.
20 took the shitest route out of 19 imaginable.
24 2 small errors leaving and turning right
25 exited wrong way intially.
26, thought tracks in grass people had cheated by crossing an uncrossable wall, but infact it changed to crossable...

Running wise tried to push it a bit, but lost motivation on the streets up the back.

Good work Duncan Nice sprint map - hope the exams go as well

Run 1:08:00 [3] 13.5 km (5:02 / km)
shoes: Roclite 315

Monday night run, More like the good old days, nice pace, think it must be these young-uns holidng us back recently. At least i didn't have to almost die going back across the downs to tims.
Weather was a little on the cold and damp side.
Felt good, had slight trepedation about knee, but it's no worse now. That's the best i've felt running post jk, I think i run better the more i trian - strange as tim finds the opposite.

Gracies wood loop. Cracker day. Could feel knee a bit in the middle.

Mountain Bike 1:30:00 [3]

MTB with James, Leigh woods/AC/50 acre.
Nice and dry and smooth. A few families out but not too congested. Passed a guy with a women who was biking in quite fashionalbe clothes and red high heels. If that was there first date - I suspect it was also the last.
Nice not to stop the whole time, knee flet strangly OK

Orienteering 52:00 [4]
shoes: X-talons

NGOC Mallards Pike Blue
Didn't feel 100% but kept it moving throughout. Some small mistakes on 5 &13. Control wasn't there on 7 & 11, I'm fairly use to this in these kind of events, so don't hang round too long. Luckily a guy pointed out to me at 7 that there was tape there.
Nice day
