Had the whole pool to myself.

hiking 1:24:37 [3] 3.01 mi (28:07 / mi) +313m 21:15 / mi

Hill repeats. Did 5 at a pokey pace, somewhat on purpose. Each repeat was over 6 minutes while last week they were each under 5 but I wanted to make sure I could do 5. I was listening to an audiobook and I generally go slower when doing that.

swimming 15:00 [2]

Since I had to be at school today for something, and inspired by vmeyer and kissy, I decided to do a bit of swimming today. It's been many years (10?) since I swam laps, but this didn't feel too bad. I did hardly any kicking since it was easy to get careless and hurt my knee when I did and I could only push off from the ends of the pool with one leg, but besides that it felt okay. I decided I would just do 15 minutes and see how that felt for the first time. Managed to keep a steady pace breathing every other stroke and did either 20 or 22 lengths (lost track at one point).

Mile on the drive with Sandy, plus the hike down and up - in a very pleasant light drizzle. But have half a dozen mosquito bites!

Note

I wonder if this is a way to get foreign mappers.

Yoga/Pilates 1:00:00 [3]

Another good yoga class by Joseph.

Note

Bleah. Could not get it together to do anything today, not even my PT exercises which needed doing. Not good.

hiking 50:10 [3] 2.29 mi (21:55 / mi) +223m 16:50 / mi

Hill repeats. The track is quite messed up as the splits were at the bottom and top and not where the track shows. There was a message that there was weak satellite coverage so I assume that's the reason. There was quite a bit a thunder and a little bit of rain while I was out - I never thought about it but I suppose storms can block coverage. Anyway, a good work out - about 5:00 to get down and 4:30 to get up each time. I got slower going down since the ground was wet so I was a little more careful on all the rocks.

trail 58:32 [3] 3.21 mi (18:14 / mi) +104m 16:34 / mi

With Sandy. We weren't feeling it this morning and walked some of the mile on the drive. Very crowded. It wasn't too hot yet but plenty humid.

Note

I am a little sad that I didn't make it to Icefields but it just started feeling like too much effort to make it all work out.
5 PM

trail 46:02 [3] 2.79 mi (16:30 / mi) +106m 14:45 / mi

Meadow loop at 100 walk/100 jog pace. I waited until after the thunderstorms went through so it wasn't too bad out.
