trail 40:00 [3]

Walked for a little more than an hour on the Plutonic Pleasures map and then ran up and back a trail twice (for 40 mins). I didn't think the trail had much elevation difference which is why I chose that route, buy my lungs said otherwise; definitely much harder one direction than the other. Even a slight uphill is tough for me at altitude.

trail 59:00 [3]

Jogging (slowly) on a snowshoe trail. The altitude, cold and occasional soft spot in the snow made it hard work even at a slow pace and it took some effort to keep moving on the uphills. I did for the most part but had to walk in a few places when my breathing was just too ragged.

stationary bike 20:00 [2]

Walked for about an hour on the Happy Jack trails but slowly enough I won't count it as training. Decided I wanted to get a little more exercise so did a short session on the trainer before doing a few strength exercises.

trail 40:00 [3]

Did a short hill loop on the rocky trails but with just as much climb. Came out of the valley in the woods part of the way and even managed to keep a jogging pace on that uphill. Wore my o shoes and was glad; feel much more secure than in running shoes.

running 12:14 [5] 1.5 mi (8:09 / mi)

walking 50:00 [1]

Did "intervals". Walked & jogged down to the main trail (in the woods mostly), jogged 1/2 mile out, returned as fast as I could go, walked and jogged the 1/2 mile again, returned as fast as I could go, and then did it once more before walking in the woods home. The breakdown was about 13 minutes to get down to the trail, 7 minutes out, 4:03 back, 7 minutes out, 4:08 back which included 30 seconds of walking in the middle - just couldn't keep going at the pace I started, almost 8 minutes out, 4:03 back, 15 minutes home.

walking 25:00 [1]

Walking down into the valley and back home - some snow and ice on the rocks made the going not worth jogging so I just walked.

running 1:00:17 [3] 6.0 mi (10:03 / mi)

Easy jog along the main trail; was going for distance trying to work off all the eating I did yesterday at a family get-together. An all time record for distance for me.
