Re-ran the green course from last weekend. It was interesting to see where I had really lost time. Lost about 4 minutes mucking around before and after the first control. This I expected. Lost another 1:25 on a control I thought I had done well (#9) but in thinking about it I realize now I had hesitated about 25 meters short of the control wondering if I had gone far enough and looking at the contours and the map before deciding I needed to keep climbing. Interesting that I hadn't realized it was that much time. Lost 3:40 on #10 when I pulled way right. Was surprised it was that much. Most surprising was #6. My route last weekend was horrible, but I didn't go much faster today when I took a much more straight route. I guess the trails were faster enough than climbing through the rocks that going around was not so bad a choice. But if that's the case, then I should have dropped to the trail right away. An interesting exercise and perhaps I'll go run the course a third time in a few weeks. I have to say I also felt better today so pushed harder - I'm sure that was worth an extra couple minutes.

Actually tried to warm up a little before doing the course. Mostly just trying to focus.
