Was up at Shawnee in the Water Gap for the annual family get-together so drove on up to PEEC for an afternoon run. Ran on the Spackman Creek map which I've spent very little time on and have never raced on. Got a late start - kept hoping the rain would let up which it never did - so couldn't go very long. Didn't see a soul the whole time and really enjoyed myself. Got to one steep downhill on a trail that was some sheer rock faces in places and started to head into the woods to go some other way when I noticed a rope on the ground; sure enough, it was anchored at the top and bottom and had knots every five feet or so and made for a great way to get down. Just gorgeous out there today.

5 miles on the drive (so 6.5 total) at a slow enough pace to be able to finish. Only walked the short flat section that's really rocky on the way up. First time going this distance in a long time.
