| My knee is pretty bad. It felt fine in Tucson and didn't hurt at all Tuesday. I confess to not wearing my knee brace to school Wednesday or Thursday - I haven't gotten around to washing the pads and they're a bit rank - and I'm guessing that is probably the biggest contributing factor. I also didn't ice Wednesday or Thursday morning as I was running late and I'm sure that didn't help.
It's a little better this morning but still not normal. |

| TNT - Penncrest track. When I started the workout I was thinking it would be a long evening of walking, my knee was really hurting. But I kept trying to jog a little and after a while it loosened up enough that I was able to run hard for short periods without pain. So I ran the curves hard and walked the straightaways, then bumped it up to running 1/2 a lap then walking 1/2 and finally doing a couple 3/4's. I was good and erred on the side or running more than walking by starting and stopping a good bit into the straightaway. So not sure how much good this workout did, but it ended up more than I thought it would be when I started. |

| TNT - Althought sorely tempted, did not wimp out. Ran some intervals with Sandy for a while; she wanted to run for a minute then walk for a couple. I couldn't keep up with her running or walking but did sort of okay by running and jogging slowly. She only wanted to do 30 minutes or so (that's what her recovery plan dictates) so I did a few more on my own after she headed up the hill. I'm not sure what pace we did the 1 minute runs at, but whatever it was, it was hard.
The time includes the walk down and the walk up - although I jogged a good bit of the hill on the way up. The drive was really muddy and my light wasn't doing much good - it was really foggy and it just kept bouncing off everything and not really illuminating much. |

| Green Course. Much better outing. Spiked just about everything and really the only thing I would do differently is run a whole lot more than I did. At least I was able to run a whole lot more than I did Saturday so that was very encouraging. |
