Saturday Aug 2

biking 40:00 [3]
8 clockwise and 1 counterclockwise loop around the block that goes down to the trailhead by the horse stables - it's basically down and then back up the hill. Pretty uninspired but I wanted to be cautious in case a) the threatening thunderstorms started or b) my knee gave out. Neither happened and my legs got a nice easy workout. A police car did appear on lap #6 parked by the horse stables and I had to wonder if someone called to report suspicious activity or if it was just random. Whatever, he was gone on #8.

Note
Iced once.

Friday Aug 1

Event: Northwest Forest Frenzy

Note
Good luck to the juniors and their event!
trail 36:39 [3]
The short hilly trail loop. It's hard again.
strength & stretching 13:30 [0]
stretching
Note
Icing. Haven't been good about it this week and so I'm hoping that logging it will get me back on track.

Knees felt good this morning for the first time this week. Hopefully the run won't put me back to square one again.

Thursday Jul 31

Note
Picked up some x-rays this morning (one step in the long process of trying to get my medical insurance to pay for a new knee brace). And the official diagnosis is: "Severe lateral femorotibial joint osteoarthritis with marked joint narrowing; with standing, the lateral femorotibial joint space is effectively obliterated (there are small marginal osteophytes at this articulation)". Hopefully that's enough to impress whoever has to approve my brace!

Yoga/Pilates 1:30:00
Yoga class with Sandy A. Very nice class. Sweated buckets and muscles got a real workout. The only bad thing is that the class is Thursdays so conflicts with TNT. Although the Thursday class looks to be the best one to attend, I may try classes on other days to see.

Wednesday Jul 30

strength & stretching 40:00 [1]
Core workout.
Note
Lots of yard work; sweated buckets. Knees have been sore but feeling a bit better today. Fighting a nasty cold that I picked up the last day or so of ORingen.

Monday Jul 28

running 31:58 [3] 3.0 mi (10:38 / mi)
Oh boy, this was tough going. On the drive.
C • Yoga 1
warm up/cool down 35:15 [1]
Walking down and up and some stretching.

Sunday Jul 27

Note
Travel back home.

I will definitely fly SAS whenever possible.
