orienteering 2:13:48 [3]

Short Stumble at Prince William. Magnificent woods and a fun course. I thought my window choices were pretty straightforward and I'd be surprised if anyone did them differently although you never know. Glad I made the trip down.

Walked the whole thing so pleased with my time/place. Bobbled #9 as I got turned around when I left the trail early thinking to cut the corner and ended up confused enough that I went back almost to the trail and then spiked it. Futzed around a bit on #14 not getting up on the spur high enough at first, but nothing major.

Pretty sore and stiff after the very long drive home (there is construction on I95 north.)

Picking up some streamers and flags from a training Valerie did at Great Falls a while ago. A perfect warm up for the Stumble.

Mile on the drive with Sandy, plus the hike down and back home.

Very saddened by all the reports of bullying going on. It's made me determined to be more present in the moment and act whenever I see anyone being treated less than respectfully.

Beautiful day.

Saw the dermatologist who gave me steroid cream for the rash around my eyes and already after just two applications it's tons better. He is convinced it's an allergic reaction to something specific as opposed to just general pollen or mold allergies. Who knows. He did tell me an interesting fact - the oil from cashews is similar to that of poison ivy.
