Note

TMI alert!

Had some minor surgery this afternoon to cut out this weird growth on the front of my shoulder. They took out about a thimble size chunk of gunk. No one thinks it's anything serious but they will let me know in about a week what it actually was. Stitches come out in two weeks but no prohibitions against doing anything after today.

Local anesthesia only so was in and out in about 2 hours and was able to drive myself. Kind of weird and kind of interesting to be in a small operating room and awake and listening to all the chatter. I was very impressed with everyone's professionalism and attempts to make me feel at ease.

Not really sore - don't know if the anesthetic hasn't worn off yet or if just isn't going to hurt.

Another couple of hourse wandering around the NSH grounds doing map updates. Lots more trees to delete and another building with a new footprint. I wish I had the time to make the map ISSOM but that isn't happening.

The buildings are solid black and no stairs are depicted. Maybe a project for later this summer if the event goes well and it looks like we might use it again.

I think I will do this weird thing Condes has where the control circles, leg lines and control numbers are outlined in white to make them readable across the black buildings and (all the other black). I'm also thinking about using the purple dot in the control circle to show where the control
is.

A really nice brown course venturing into little patches of nice woods here and there, requiring some forcing your way through thicker stuff, but lots of trail routes around the worst of it. Other than the two times I went down wrong trails because my brain wasn't getting enough oxygen I'm happy with my route choices. There was one lovely trail run on a very slight downhill next to the stream where I actually felt like I was running not slogging!
