The first two thirds of this was great - super weather and great woods. The last third was a slog just try to finish and get back to my car. Knee was fine so that was good but the rest of me was pretty beat.

I was using one hiking pole but had the second in my pack, sticking up out of the zippered section since it was a little too long even telescoped down. Somewhere between 4 and 1/2 and 5 hours the pole got pulled out of my pack - I thought I was being careful and checking whenever it caught on something, but I must have missed the time it actually came out. I was intending to use them both for the last hour or so but when I went to get it out discovered the pack was unzipped and the pole was gone. I was lucky nothing else fell out. Bummer.

Oof. Training with Kelly. Hard getting through the workout, especially some of the arm stuff even though she backed off on the weight given it's been two weeks.

I thought it would be easier the second time; it wasn't. Was aiming for 12miles/5 hours but my knee was toast so I skipped the last set of trails I had planned and just came home via the drive.
