Went up and looked at the house again with Dennis and Brenna in tow just to get have someone to talk it through with and decided to put in an offer. We'll see what happens. Stopped at Hickory Run on the way home and hiked around the trails on the Goulds Run map. I was a little too tired (not great sleep the last couple nights and too much driving) to do any orienteering. Nice loop with a couple good climbs. And some gorgeous views. The colors are spectacular this weekedn. If I move, this will be an easy 40 minute drive instead of an hour and 40 minutes.

Threw in a fence loop after a meadow loop. Big mistake. I thought maybe some of the vegetation might have died back a little since the last time I tried but it was worse.

Also spent a couple hours trying to reduce a big pile of branches that came down in the storms a month or two ago into not quite so big an eyesore. I've been trying to get someone to come and clear the pile for a while but haven't been successful and finally decided today to try to deal with at least some of it myself. My arms are sore - I only have a hand saw.
