orienteering 1:33:19 intensity: (2:48 @1) + (1:56 @2) + (52:18 @3) + (36:17 @4) 1.06 mi (1:28:02 / mi)

My garmin would not connect to the gps satellites so I could use o-range. I had livelox going but that stopped part way through. Technology is great when it works, very frustrating when it doesn't.

Went right by #3, not sure how I missed it. And then exited it weirdly.

Saw many depressions between 6 and 7 but who knows what I was seeing. I can believe I was in the reentrant north of 7 and not at the depression but I would have to go back and hunt around to be sure. It sure seemed like a depression at the time and since o-range wasn't working I had nothing to fall back on.

Do Garmin watches lose their ability to sync with satellites over time? Do I need a new watch? It seems like I have to wait a really long time even just when I do my neighborhood walks. Eventually it finds them but I don't remember having to wait this long a few months ago.

hiking 1:48:34 intensity: (4 @0) + (21:31 @1) + (1:02:54 @2) + (24:05 @3) 4.24 mi (25:36 / mi) +500ft 23:02 / mi

Taking it slow and easy partly to baby my back and partly because that's all I really had in me today. Stuck to the trails for the most part although had to scramble in a few places where there were large trees down (and some impressive rootstocks!) and there was a short section on the road. Didn't see a soul.

Hills. Started bothering both my back and my lungs. I'm guessing the breathing thing is from wading through the leaves and kicking up moldy stuff; I didn't use my inhaler since I haven't needed it lately but I guess any time I go in that piece of woods I should. Not sure why my back wasn't happy. It has been fine for a few days.
