Orienteering 1:45:00 [3]
NTOA event at Tyler. Surprisingly wet and cool. Good running. Unfortunately, we're a little late in the season and the vegetation was thick. Some places were good running, some places were slow going, and some places were very scratchy. Enjoyed being out but I was out longer than planned. 89 min for 7k. I was helped by a 12 min error at a root stock control that was really stretching the definition there of.
I love working the contours at Tyler. I ran without a compass, which I find liberating and fun at a place like Tyler.
Had my boat on the car. After running, I took a cold shower, which was the only option, and headed SW to Austin. Took 79 most of the way and it was a nice drive. The road was good, scenery interesting, low traffic, and took about 4 hrs. Arrived at Festival Beach about 4:30 and rigged the boat.
