Friday Aug 17

Row 50:00 [3]
The remnants of Trop. Storm Erin provide clouds and a SE wind.

Thursday Aug 16

Run 30:00 [3]
Feel pretty good for an end of the week run.
Row 35:00 [3]
Working on posture at the front end. Pause drills, legs only full slide, legs only half slide, etc.

Wednesday Aug 15

Run 50:00 [3]
Circuits-3R. During the WU I had a feeling that today was going to be a bit of a drag. Groin at about 90% so that's a positive. Wasn't running harder than that anyway. Lost about 3kg of fluids.
Lift (Nautilus) 30:00 [3]

Tuesday Aug 14

Row 45:00 [3]
Earlier is better.
Run 30:00 [3]
At LAF running on the TM watching ESPN SC. Remembered to turn the fan on for a change.

Monday Aug 13

Run 50:00 [3]
Circuits-3R. Protecting the groin a bit but otherwise I had good energy.
Row 40:00 [3]
Holy crap was it hot/humid. The flat water is nice for rowing but without any breeze it's like being in a steam room.

Sunday Aug 12

Run 30:00 [3]
In evening so to the TM I went. Felt pretty good.
Row 30:00 [3]
After running I hit the boathouse a bit before sunset. No wind and the high heat the last couple of days has led to still and stinky water in the cove. But it was nice out in the lake. A gentle breeze helped it feel not so hot but it wasn't enough to cause more than a ripple. A nice row home with a pinkish-orange sky, the tonk-tonk of my ours in the locks, and the music of an ice-cream truck carrying out into the lake. Then back to the still and stinky boathouse.

Saturday Aug 11

Run 1:30:00 [3]
At WRL with Karl. First 60 min were ok but the last 30 sucked. Hot, humid and that lazy bum Karl wouldn't let us start until 7:30am. Groin became a little achy towards the end; have to remember not to shuffle and continue to pick up my feet.
HR: A=132, M=154 (and we were going slow)
Lift (dumbbells) 30:00 [3]
Must be strong for when students come back to school. Must be able to intimidate them both mentally and physically.
