Row (H61-SS) 45:00 [3]
shoes: RP3

4 [ 5 at 18 + 3 at 20 + 2 at 22 ] + [ 5 at 18 ]

Didn't check the weather and found myself staring into a dark north wind. Went back home and got on the erg.

XC Sking 30:30 [3]

Out and back. Legs just don't feel fresh. Nevertheless, moving quickly -- 15:25 down and 15 back, which is a couple min faster than I remember doing last year.

Row (H57-In) 1:00:00 [3]

10x1min = 2 [ 5 ( 1 / 1 ) ] / 4
1st round at 30
2nd round at 33.

58F this morning and calm water! Thank you Thor! Good workout once I got used to the idea that I was going to be working hard; that took about 3 intervals. Then good rowing.

Right shoulder still a slight bother. No problem rowing but it's not 100%.

Lift (CoachK-22) 38:00 [3]

Row 1:08:00 [3]

2x with Pat at WR. 3x20min with first 5 minutes building from 23 to 26 then holding 26 for the last 15. Lungs were fine but legs found it tiring.

Started calm and cloudy, then it poured for about 40 min and we had to bail the boat on our breaks, then it abruptly stopped raining and was dead calm. Pretty fun. Can't wait for it to cool off -- I sure hope it will cool off.

XC Sking 1:05:00 [3]

Parked at Norbuk then went down to the lake and did 3 Bath House Hill Loops (up trail by Big Thicket, over to Bathhouse, up the hill, down the hill, back to Big Thicket and down = 1). Gosh that was hard. I don't know if I'm skiing differently (hopefully better) and working harder, or what. Maybe it is the humidity the last couple of weeks. Either way, sweating buckets and my legs, arms and lungs were all complaining.

Orienteering 1:18:00 [3]

Over to Harry Moss for an NTOA event. Thought I would run early and work after but I got caught at registration and didn't get going until 11. By then the sun had come out. However, I was running with reasonable energy for an hour and only feeling a little draggy the last 15 min. Finish the 7k-ish in about 74 min. Stan set a decent course. A bad course here can be very annoying, messy, itchy and scratchy. I was able to find non annoying routes to all controls so it was reasonably fun.... Except that I was completely soaked in sweat. Made a big puddle at the car wring out all my cloths. An extra bonus was getting stung by something again (2-2 this season). Didn't see culprit but felt it right away. Now I have a big welt on my left thigh.
