Row 1:20:00 [3]

3 [ 3k / 6 ] at 24+

Finally getting a group of guys together. Had Aussie Ed, who kicked our as, Nick who was a bit in front of me, me, and Ben who is a bit behind me. Hopefully, we can keep it up.

Great conditions. Flat water and 65F.

I'd say it was average rowing for me. I've had an adventurous work week and I'm short on sleep -- bags under my eyes. Kept the SR above 24 but wasn't really able to implement the plan of a consistent 26 in the third kilometer. My HR indicates I was likely working harder than AT.

Sort of. Cut it short and worked in PT.

XC Sking 58:00 [3] 14.0 km (4:09 / km)
shoes: Pursuit

Warm and windy evening. Out to the trail. These pursuit skis are hard work.

Row 1:10:00 [3]

Another nice morning. Fartlek for 30min, 1min or shorter.

Row 1:10:00 [3]

Another nice morning. Steady rowing. Worked on clean extraction, which requires finishing a little earlier than is my habit. I need a new habit.

Other (Kayak) 30:00 [3]

Lisa, Seth and I went over to the White Rock Paddle Company to rent kayaks. However, they were out of singles. Lisa said she would go for a walk, while Seth and I went out in a double. Other than leaving Lisa on shore, it worked out well because then Seth and I could easily chat and stay together. We went up WR Creek to NW Highway, then up the little side channel, back to the lake, over to the big stupid sailboat now moored at Corinthian, then done. Total 52 min. I paddled throughout while Seth took breaks. Very fun. Should do that more often.

XC Sking 30:00 [3]
shoes: Pursuit

New rskis shake down. Pursuit Fork Flex from these guys.. Different brake design. Shock absorption should be in between my Aeros and X98. Slow wheels to better simulate snow.

Did loops and such in the FB parking lot. I want to make sure I have my balance and skills back before heading out on the trail. Had one little slip in the first 5 min. After 15 min I was moving quite well.

2.5 hours in North Park Mall, while Seth shopped for sneakers. I'd put the resulting fatigue level equivalent to a 50mi bike ride, nice temperatures, 12mph headwind, no electrolytes in the water bottle.

Later in the evening we went to Dave and Buster's for arcade type stuff, which I'm generally bad at. Did a VR roller coaster that was really quite good. The Rebel Alliance grounded me due to my poor performance in the Star Wars Battle Pod. However, I had Commander level skills in the Mach 500 dog fight flying an F22 (or something). So, I've got that going for me and Lisa can sleep well knowing that I have "skills." Seth on the other hand is well trained for the 21st century and is a master at shooting bad guys of any sort.

Row 1:00:00 [3]

Another morning of glass and reasonable temps. SR ~ 20, firm pressure. HR was 135-140.

Bike 50:00 [3]

Nephew Seth from Vegas is visiting. Lisa, Seth and I did a lap of the lake. It's borderline not loggable. It was slow so I'm only going to log the time it would normally take me.
