Not bad. I was getting a little uncoordinated which I blame partly due to fatigue but also partly due to it being pitch black. Even with the headlamp, it's just a little weird in the dark and even a little weirder when I'm trying to move my feet quickly or going downhill at almost 30kph.

Slight south wind -- enough to make a slight difference.

Very solid for a first interval workout on the slower Pursuit rskis.

First time checking out Cedar Hill SP on the rskis. I did recon over the summer on my bike. The pavement on the main road is in very good shape. The loops into the camping/RV areas not so much. Doing an out and back on the main road is going to get my about 10k and that's decent. Plenty of climb as well. The only down side is that there are a couple of downhills where my speed got over 30kph even on my slower Pursuits. On snow on skis my reaction would be, "Yippeee! Faster! Faster!' On pavement on rskis my reaction is, "Please don't fall. Oooooooooo! Please don't fall!"

Nice morning. High 40s and sunny at the start. 3 Neighborhood-Birkie+ loops then out the lake and back. Neighborhood loops are come with a touch of anxiety due to the higher potential for mishaps of all sorts. Alas, that's where the hills are.

Loop paces

Not bad for a first long ski + hills. Another hill loop would have been annoying but I got rolling again during the flatter out an back to the lake. Last year it seemed like every other dog was overly curious or annoyed by the rskis. This year it is the opposite. Those that react are are a little scared. At the lake, a dog that seemed calm as I approached freak out just as I went by and took his owners feet out from her; from experience, that does not feel good. I stopped and she (the owner) was ok and in decent spirits; I bet bruised though.

Need to work on my hip flexibility.
