Dang, these are slower than I was hoping. There was a stiff headwind up top but still. It seemed like both my effort and technique were reasonable. I had the energy for one more but I figured I'd take the extra slow 4th split as an indicator to call it a day. Maybe my tires were flat and slow or maybe I was just slow.

Otherwise, nice night. Coldest rski of this season (38F) and windy. Took a long route home for extra distance and I was doing a good job of some V2 at a quite decent pace.

Stiff north wind. Almost came to a stop around Jackson Point. Thus, the range of pace depending on whether I was with or against the wind was almost +/- 20s from the mean. HR was a touch low the last 3k of 2). I think I was getting a little uncoordinated and hence not working as hard aerobically. Was able to do a lot of this in V2.

These are a good 20s slower than the end of last season but I'm on slower wheels and it's early season. Also, work and boathouse have been extraordinarily annoying the last week, which is unhelpful for performance.
