Row 1:10:00 [3]

10 x 500 = 6 (500m / 2min ) / 5 min + 4 more.

* Plan was for 12 but we were fading in the heat and decided on 10 quality instead of doing all 12 but slowing a lot.
* Slight tail and head on the first 6 but less on the last four.
* Had Luis for company, which certainly helped.
* Warm 82F and humid, which was draining and led to cutting things short.
* Really gave it my all on the last one and kind of surprised I wasn't faster. Clearly I was at the end of what I could give.
* Time for an easy week.

Row 1:33:00 [3]

2x w/ Pat at FWRC. Nice morning. Humid due to last nights storms but the sun stayed mostly hidden. Rowed at about 19spm but if felt higher than that to me I think because I am tired, especially so because I had trouble getting to sleep (no particular reason). Otherwise, chatty chatty blah blah blah chatty chatty, etc. We covered a lot of ground conversation wise.

Bike 3:00:10 [3] 77.58 km (25.8 kph) +490m

Do-it-different ride. Some new roads, if I would normally go left, go right, if I would normally go clockwise, going counter clockwise. A bunch of hills in the first half then flatter in the second half. Not pressing because my legs are tired and the goal was butt-on-the-saddle time and not kill-myself time.

Run 22:00 [3]

w/ Pelican Bay map. Only goal was to keep my running streak going. Apparently I have decided that 20min is enough to count towards a streak.

Ass. Dean duties start ramping up today. I tried to put a tie on but almost suffocated. It's going to have to drop at least 10 degrees before I will be able to manage this again.

Bike 1:49:00 [3] 56.67 km (31.2 kph) +185m
ahr:141 max:174

Bikes+ Thu hills. Started with a pretty big group but it broke up quickly once we started on the hills. Two guys broke away and were gone. By the third lap there were only 6 of us left in the front group. I was yo-yo-ing off the back at the top of the hill and then after the turn at the Stone Tables. I'd have to crank to relatch on and recover just enough to do it again. I thought I was done for after 3 but the group slowed just enough that I could keep hanging on. I got dropped again on the return back along NW Hwy but traffic caused the guys to slow at Mockingbird and I got back on one more time. Given that I had been sucking wheels most of the ride I figured I'd put in one more push; I move to the front and push to try to give the guys a lead out and then pulled off. I rolled up to Scott and Caryn who had only done 5 laps and we cruised home together. Comparing splits on Strava segment "Up and Around" confirmed tonights ride was harder than the last time I did it.

Row 1:17:00 [3]

3 x 12min = 3 (8 min at 24-25 + 4 min at 25-26) / 8min

Held the SR well but I didn't really pay attention to speed (a south wind meant laps and inaccurate splits). Tired, my butt hurt, and my arms are still a little sore from the lifting on Sun. Worked hard though and happy with the effort.

Lift (CoachK-2) 40:00 [3]

4 of 5 rounds because I want to save a little for tomorrow and because I was getting bored.

Run 39:00 [3]

w/ a map of Superfly Marsh. 6 good strides+bounding.

Around the track at Woodrow HS because for some reason or another last nights Bertolli's penne with sausage necessitated staying close to a port-a-loo.

I think last night's rain was the end of it. If we are lucky, the temps will rise to max so that we can hang all our nice cloths outside for de-wrinkling.

I tried to give Lisa a sweaty hug by telling her I was covered with sweet-sweet-dew but she didn't believe me and pushed me away. There appears to be a lack of trust.

Bike 1:07:00 [3]

Rode my older bike with older shoes, bibs, gloves and helmet and learned that I prefer my newer bike with newer shoes, bibs, gloves and helmet. I'm the same old me.
