Lift (Core Perf) 38:00 [3]

Week 10 - Mon. Decided to take a shot a lifting while avoiding any heaving breathing. Thus, I took it easy on the sprint parts of E. Strength was good and felt ok. Otherwise though, still feel a bit poopy, although I don't know if it is poopy due to being sick or poopy because my coughing gave me a concussion.

Note

The cold that was lurking over the weekend has been kicking my ass the last few days. I at least got out for a walk this evening.

Run 53:00 [3]

I have a bit of a cold and so do nothing wouldn't have been a bad idea. However, I had a mission. We got down to Canon Beach by 0930, which by tourist time is really early. Parking was easy and the beach not quite so zooey. Since we were early than yesterday the tide was lower such that you could almost get all the way around Haystack. Then I headed north to the sea stacks off Ecola State Park. These were cool too. Not as big as Haystack but there was hardly anyone there. I had given up trying to keep my feet dry and splashed through one pool and channel after another. The beach was so flat and quiet at the north end I spent some time running with my eyes closed just breath, smelling and listening. I'd peak every 10s or so and go back to listening.

By the time we left, it was getting very busy again and getting through Seaside was slow. This morning's run was really good and made this part of the trip for me. I wouldn't come back here unless it was off season. Some cold, gray, misty weather would be just perfect. Summer is too busy.
