Last night's weather report indicated no rowing. But this morning the "current" data suggested it would be manageable. However, by the time I got there it was back to no rowing. So I went back home and no-rowed on my bike. In perhaps a misguided effort to shock my legs back into having some semblance of zip, I did a random fartleky HIIT type workout. Perhaps I should have some beans. A black bean hamburger sounds good but I don't know how to make one.

More NE wind but it was good on the the other side of the lake. Cooler morning. Afterward, Luis and I went out in the john boat and spent a couple hours dragging boat killing logs to shore.

XC Sking 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Pursuit Elite

Wasn't the plan but incoming weather requires some adjustments. Fell but made it to the grass, which in TX is really just asphalt-lite. Only a little elbow scrape.

Southie loop with Scott and Clayton from work. Clayton is a new and enthusiastic cyclist. If he keeps at it, he could be quite fast. Right now, he is a little sketchy when riding next to people. At one point he leaned into me, freaked a bit and became off balance. I effectively pushed him back up with my shoulder.

We rode at a decent pace and sometimes had some surges or mini sprints just for fun. I still feel flat. I can cruise but no zip on sprints or hills. Pretty pooped.
