Row 58:00 [3]

Race WU
8 x 1min = 2 [ 4 ( 1min at 31ish / 2 ) / 4min ]

Ok pace around 2min but I should be able to hold this rate and pace for 2 min. Maybe I should say I wish I could hold 2 min. Or I used to be able to hold for 2 min. Oh well.

Bike 1:30:00 [3]

With Scott Norris leaving from SMU. Time for a rest day.

Drills at the FB, ski to Boat Ramp Lot, drills in the BRL, ski up to boardwalk and back. Yup, that's what I did.

Easy. Nice gray and cool morning. Felt decent rowing but got extra sleepy during the day.

First long ride on the Bianchi. I'm settling in quite nicely. More precisely, I'm stretching out so that the reach is comfortable. Strong south wind so sometimes a grind and sometimes like nitro. Either way, I felt like I was moving well. Out on Lawson a couple of fast guys zipped by. I was able to stick with the fourth guy and eventually caught him. About the same time their peloton caught us and zipped away.

I was feeling decent until 106.7k when all of a sudden I felt tired and hungry. I had a gel and made it home.

My fingers haven't learned the RD shifting. It's not difficult but about 10% of the time they hit the wrong button.

Experimenting with the ridewithgps.com app for nav. My phone's battery almost went dead. I hope I can find a way to slow the drain and make it work.

XC Sking 20:00 [3]
shoes: Pursuit Elite

The rskis were in the car so I went up the Trinity Trail until it turned to dirt (about 1km), came back, out and back again. My butt was tired. It was nice to get a different view of the river from up high; I'm usually on it down low.

Pat and I beat Pat Hamner and Gabe Lake with the help of age handicapping. The beat us handily scratch, which neither Pat or I were particularly happy about. And that's why I don't feel like talking about it anymore.

Otherwise, nice day.
