XC Sking 35:02 [3] 7.39 km (4:44 / km) +91m 4:28 / km

Dropped Pat off for his classic Birkie then went down to OO for a short ski. Got in some climbing where I worked on easy and efficient strides. Lots of no-poles working on feeling the snow, getting out on the ski, and balance. Did some zig-zagging with fast feet to work on agility. Watched some earlier skiers due the u-turn at OO. Drove back to Telemark to wait for Pat.

XC Sking 48:02 [3] 8.77 km (5:29 / km) +99m 5:11 / km

Departure was delayed so we didn't take off until after 10 and finally in the airport hotel at 1. On the road by 8:30. Stopped at New Moon for misc skiing stuff, lunch, then over to Mosquito Brook to ski. Warm 34F and sunny and the snow was fast. We did a big loop of the flat network of trails off to the NE. Did a lot of no poles. I have a lot of "I have been on skies in 6 weeks" sore spots, particularly the outside of my left knee. I think it will go away though. Pat skied a little shorter and I went out and back to the south on the Birkie Trail. Got a good climb in a decent effort; I wanted to get some good work in. After skiing, grocery store, check into our house, pizza, then watching the Nordic World Champs sprints.

Note

DFW-> MSP
I’ve doubled up two pretty good masks. The escalator from drop off th ticketing wasn’t working and by the top I was slightly light headed. I think I effectively have N99.99, which is good other than when going up stairs. The airport was busier than I expected. Only a few carry out restaurants are open but the number of people walking around seems almost normal. There is plenty of seating at the gates though.

Bike 1:27:00 [3]

Crazy Dallas is 72F and sunny. The lake was mobbed. Mostly easy but I did a couple of short pushes on hills. I wore my nipple jersey; seemed like a good day for that.

Nothing too strenuous. Just wanted to warm the legs up before visiting Bobby and Kinetikchain again.
