Run 35:00 [3]

A not too bad run in the rain.

Core (Prehab) 8:00 [3]

Peak Zone 46:00 [3]

Circuit type weight aerobic and anaerobic owwy workout.

Peak has a bunch of Matrix treadmills. The belt doesn't have a motor but instead provides various levels of resistance. Thus, you have to push into the belt to make it rotate. To prevent you from falling forward, ie, to give something to press into, there is a belt around your waist holding you back. I find it difficult. Part of the workout included 7 (30s sprint / 30s walk), which we did twice. I would think this would be good for hill climbing and sprinting.

Yoga 1:00:00 [3]

Hilly. I didn't sleep well last night and so didn't feel the greatest. I did ok on the hills nevertheless.

Orienteering (MP A&B) 1:35:11 [3] 8.73 km (10:54 / km) +158m 10:00 / km

NTOA DIY event at Cooper - East side. The east side has less ground level vines and thorns, but overall thicker veg and more green briar. And everything is now at full foliage. This made visibility and running speed low. Even though my arms are scratched up, I enjoyed the challenge. My nave was decent and physically I was running ok as well. My knee doesn't like jumping but running along was ok. That's progress. Overall, good day.

Southie ride. This ride has no official organizer, just a facebook page and consensus. The Southie ride as a number of flavors: Dad's ride. Worlds. Cartright recovery. The challenging things is that consensus on the time of each is constantly debated and confusing. Yesterday's debate was particularly humorous. The end result was that I was showing up at 7:30am and had no idea what I was in for.

What I got was a 60+ start group that started hauling well before crossing 635. I set 15 Strava segment PRs along with a handful of 2nds and 3rds. I'm sure we benefited at times from the north wind, and from the big group, and perhaps the Bianchi makes a difference, and perhaps I was riding well.

I ended up taking a pull on Lawson heading into the wind. That left me a little gassed and I fell off the back on the access road climb. I was able to reattach at the overpass but then lost it for good up Elk hill. Later a half dozen of us collaborated on the trip back west.

I haven't done much group riding this year and I was a little nervous sometimes how close people were.
