Bike 1:10:00 [3]

I could have used the day off but went for an easy ride with Scott Norris. Nice ride.

Bike 1:04:00 [3]

WU and CD

Bike 30:02 [3] 20.33 km (40.6 kph)
ahr:161 max:169 shoes: Cervelo

Fair Park Crit Cat 4/5
* 27 / 39 finishers
* Slightly faster pace than last time
* 13 laps
* Finished with the front group this time only 10s off the leader. I almost lost them on the last lap as they accelerated heading north but I was able to get back on just before the right turn. Yippee.
* My HR data is a couple beats lower than last time.
* The pace seemed slightly more variable this time. I don't know if that is true or not though.
* I don't feel quite as hammered and depleted as last time. Yippee.
* I forgot than the Cervelo's BB was making noise. It seemed quieter on the way home though.

Wednesday Jun 2 #

Bike 1:03:00 [3]
shoes: Bianchi

Lousy sleep last night due to various things that cause lousy sleep. Put in some fartlek efforts to get the engine going again.

Peak Zone 46:00 [3]

Various things that I haven't done before but I'm not really clear on what the theme was. Maybe the theme was "Things Tom hasn't done before."

Run 48:35 [3] 5.18 km (9:23 / km) +206m 7:50 / km

Back at Lucien Morin Park. Fun trails. No stopping for my calf today, yippee! Really enjoyed this.

Saturday May 29 #

2 PM

Run 40:47 [3] 4.56 km (8:57 / km) +124m 7:53 / km

Lucien Morin Park at the south end of the bay, which did not exist when I was a kid. Fun hilly glacial hills and reentrants. Took some walk breaks and some massage breaks to keep my calf happy. If if weren't for my calf it would be fun to push, my legs were itchin' to pick up the pace

Lisa arrived yesterday so also spent some time walking with her.

Today's Rochester excursion:
* Lunch at Charlie's
* Through the area where my mom and dad grew up.
* Through downtown.
* Tour through Mt. Hope Cemetery where my Grandpa Bill lives.
* Short tour of UofR remembering the following:
- Many track meets at the stadium.
- Many indoor track meets on the indoor track with a tunnel.
- A two week "biology" camp.
- Many XC meets at Genesee Valley Park, which is just across the street from UR. Also a couple of XCSki races at GVP.
