Thursday May 30 #

Row 1:04:00 [3]

Flatish. Some drills, some medium effort P10s.

Peak Zone 48:00 [3]

Total body. Some obnoxious hard stuff too.

On the other hand, guilty on all 34 counts! Heck yea!

Wednesday May 29 #

Peak Zone 45:00 [3]

Chest, back and arms. It would be nice if I wasn't sore in the morning.

Run 27:00 [3]

Stress keeps bringing on cold symptoms. Cold symptoms include nasal drip. Nasal drip drips into my chest. Drips in my chest make me cough. I'm tired of coughing. I will try an allergy pill to see if that helps.

Very nice evening that follows crazy morning. Our weather alarms went off just before 6. The radar showed a big dark red blob coming at us. The sirens started around 6:30. Lightning, hail, wind, some rotations, and flooding. Lisa hung out in the closet with the cats. Lights flickered but we kept power. Estimates are ~500k without power. Trees down everywhere. A table of high winds at different locations range from 75-95mph.

Went out to explore. Had to dodge and go under downed trees on the trails. More flooding than I expected. Ran into Jason N. at the Bath House, turned around and rode back to the spillway with him.

I had signed up to race tonight but, unsurprisingly, they were canceled. Just as well, I can go easy but with any effort I get pooped.

Monday May 27 #

Row 1:05:00 [3]

I was going to row a little longer but my hands were not holding up; not enough rowing of late and too much humidity.

Bike 2:24:21 [3] 57.27 km (23.8 kph) +357m

90 min solo. Did some hills in the old neighborhood. After yesterday's effort I thought I might be lagging a good bit more than I was.
60 min with Lisa: I was almost home and she was heading out so I turned around. We went up and back on the Sopac.

Reunion was doing a 90mi Trek Shop ride. That did not seem like a good idea for me. I started out on the Southie ride solo so I could keep to my own effort. The 0700 group caught me at about 50k and so I picked up my pace to stay with them. Ended up setting some PRs on the Town East hills. Once we hit I35 I decided that was enough, dropped off the back and soloed home. I felt ok going around the lake but was pooped going up FPH. Dragging on the ride home after that.
