Note

Sitting at Greater Than Rehab using compression boots. Thought maybe these might pump out the swelling. We’ll see.
...
I think it did squish out some of the swelling. Not sure how long it will last. It definitely left my ankle and upper foot red and itchy. I guess moving fluid around excited nerves.

Bike 1:10:00 [3]

WU & CD
5 PM

Bike 27:18 [3] 17.14 km (37.7 kph) +82m
ahr:161 max:170

Turbo Velo - Return to Fair Park
21 / 34
2:08 back from the winner but at least on the same lap.

With it for 7 laps one of which tied my PR. It was a fast 7 laps. Then I was not with it and rode the last 4 laps on my own.

Hung out with the gang then rode home with Lex.

A lot going on in my head, heart and body -- all understandable. As a friend recently said, being a human is weird.

PT 20:00 [3]

Core + PT in the garage fending of mosquitos.

Leg aches less but it sure is swollen and itchy. It's going to take a while for all the fluid to get pumped out.

Starting to work on finances and beneficiary issues.

Bike 1:07:21 [3] 28.49 km (25.4 kph) +110m

Powered up a few hills as "openers," as the cool-kid cyclists call them. I would generally just call them "strides" but I suppose we aren't really striding on a bike. The effort level and purpose seems about the same to me. Also, I want to be a cool-kid.

Row 58:00 [3]

Nice morning. I got talked-at by Nan of DUC because I was not rowing in the pattern. I had my reasons and I gave the right of way boats plenty of room. Nevertheless, she wasn't wrong and getting talked-at pissed me off.

Peak Zone 34:00 [3]

Total body not counting the WU and CD running.

Left lower leg is achy, itchy, and swollen like popeye's arms. Left neck lymph node was tender and swollen during the day but that eased.

Run 17:00 [3]

WU and CD on the TM, where the former included 8x30 sprints*.

* I faked sprinting.

Lift 30:00 [3]

Went to gym so I could do some Nathan exercises and added some lifting. Didn't have a whole lot of energy though.

Bike 57:00 [3]

Since I was useless at work I went home and installed new TPU tubes in the Bianchi. Also, both tires are now 700x30 in accordance with new recommendations from the bike police.

Rode easy. Not too pleased to get stung by a big red wasp on my left calf. Hurts.

Note

My Dad passed early this morning. Happy he can now rest.. Things are stable in Webster so I'm heading home.

Worked in squatty things while running.
