Run down with Malley, didn't get lost. And run back with John and James.

Strength and Conditioning 1:00:00 [3]

Drills. Legs feeling tired and not very snappy. Achilles/heel also hurting for a bit of it. 4 x 150 to finish. Feeling faster on these but they did knacker me out.

Orienteering 1:30:00 [3]

Wasn't all that up for this after a bad nights sleep on a floor, started trying to keep the pace sincere but lost 2/3 mins on no7 on the slope. Map wasn't fantastic but I was sloppy and that was more the problem. After that I cruised round, proper punter pace for most of it.

Twin Peaks Middle, Not really anywhere near top gear and struggling on the muddy slopes to stay upright let alone forward but felt fit if not fast and orienteering well if not race sharp.

Trains in the afternoon, Bishops Wood, running well and pushing pretty hard, don't think there was a train I wasn't with/in the lead for apart from the first one which I collected controls for. Feeling more comfortable pushing and orienteering.

Shuoc intervals, 12 x 1min on 1min off. Was tempted to extend the run after but fell just as we passed goodwin so called it a night. No sympathy much as expected.

Black on some rock area. Really hard to get running so I cruised most of it. Three big mistakes, ~2mins but good for the rest, Hector caught and passed me towards the end but I decided to get a bit competitive and chased him back to finish with him. 4 out of the last 5 fastest splits. Ran with a wet Fanni for most of it.

70 mins in the morning, contour only for the first two, really good for the first one but lost a bit of urgency and got a bit passive on the next harder one. Then finished with a control pick which went fine.

Jog to endcliffe, drills and jog home via physio.

10mins threshold, 5 mins jog to hill, 2 x (90, 45, 45, 45, 45) hills, jogging back down, then finished with 4 strides. Struggled to get into a rhythm on the threshold, not helped by some stupid dog owner whose dog chased me twice on different laps, and hills were hard.

Warm up, didn't feel like doing too much to warm down.

Bucs cross country B race. Was a bit disappointed to not be in the A but after this was wholly warranted.

2 small laps, 3 big.

Started off nice and steady, stuck into a nice place in the pack with spongey. The two small laps felt nice and comfortable, and went into the first big lap with spongey and stuck with him the first big lap. Hills weren't nice but not too bad. Started on the second big lap and legs started to struggle up the first hill, the only rhythm I could get into was slow and spongey pulled away, then poo boy caught me and straight away pulled away, then on the next hill my rhythm got even slower, dave came past and then cherry. Really not feeling it at this point. On the downs and flats I had the leg speed but as soon as I was on a hill it was like I was running in treacle and couldn't pick my legs up. A bit down on Cherry going into the last lap and struggled to keep the gap the same for most of the last lap. So started alright but after about halfway I may as well have been running backwards...

Bit poor physcologically to see these guys blow past me but it just wasn't a good day for me.
