Maddy Moss Hill Race.
Tucked in behind GG until about a third of the way up the law. He was seeing a good pace and we pulled out a gap on the others pretty quickly. From there I just focused on keeping my own rhythm and slowly got a gap. I looked back a couple of times but couldn't decide whether the gap was growing or shrinking! I pushed the runnable climb between the law and Ben Cleuch because I didn't want to give GG the chance to close the gap.

Once I got to the top my legs were knackered but the thought of GG bearing down on me got them moving on the descent. From here to the finish I was running scared, my legs feeling like they were going to stop working at any moment but luckily they didn't and I made it to the finish with a good gap. Course record for the newer course and very close to the old one on the slightly faster old course.

Love the Ochils for hill races and it was great to see so many people make the trip - shame I couldn't stay for food but that would have meant a very late night..

Strava interest:
I was around 20 seconds slower than 2015 GG to the top of Ben Cleuch (50 seconds up at finish).
I was 20 seconds slower than Jonny over the last 350m. That boy can descend!
