Rode into work with Paul until North Sydney. Very romantic.

Running race 25:50 [5]

Corporate Cup. Got under 27 for first time in ages. Think I just need someone to run with. Timing mats were out of order so we started on each minute like we used to. Some guy called Paul started with me and was exactly my pace and we changed lead all the way. I would overtake on the downhills keep ahead to the top of an uphill then he would overtake me on the flat. Talking afterwards we were both waiting for each other to fade, but realised halfway that wouldn't happen. He said he just gets into a rhythm like he does when he cycles...I feel like I do too on the Corp Cup course - I keep the pace up the hills,... but the can tend to lose focus and speed on the flat bits.

Jogged from Riverside Corporate Park, North Ryde to Macquarie Hospital pushing Kari in pram and Jamie on front, followed by Tiia on Kari’s new balance bike. This was not the plan. The kids all had their swimming lessons in the Corporate Park which finished at 5pm. The knock-on traffic jams from an accident near the Freeway into town earlier, incl closure of Lane Cove tunnel etc meant I was caught in a traffic jam as soon as I left the carpark…so I drove back into the carpark, left the car then went by foot to the Monday Sprints.

It had been a crazy Sydney traffic day. Earlier I’d driven to a nursery in Ingleside for school then to Ant and Nicky’s in Pymble to give Ant his Big Foot O-top and collect the balance bike as a hand-me-down. I got caught on Ryde Rd on way home after a truck accident, but managed to just make pickups by bailing out and doubling back to the Pacific Hwy.

Orienteering race 18:49 [5]

Sprints through Macquarie Hospital. Cool to O here after many hill interval sessions here when trained with an athletics club. Good run. The only mistake I know of was, except it seems poor route choice to number 1, was running to a wrong feature too far up the hill at 5 because of assuming it would be on a particular brickwall I always used to run by.

Ran with Cath from north Avoca Beach around Lagoon edge and back through streets.
