Watched the start of the first stage of le tour, Millar went on a solo break which inspired me to get on my bike! Cycled out past Straiton, Auchendinny, Temple, Carrngton and back up A7. Few wrong turns though! Need a better map (it honestly was a poor map!) Pretty knackered by the end, but felt ok on the ride, pretty happy and think I can build it up.

Watched le tour, so thought I'd go and try to emulate David Millar! Did 5 laps of the seat with Cheps, hammering it on the hill and cruising the rest. Pretty tough!

Free weights session. Week 2 easy. Still quite sore from Wednesday's but was ok.

Cycling intervals 20:00 [3]

Bike intervals after weights. 20mins of 1min/1min. Wimbledon was on so went pretty fast! Federer is awesome.

First outing on new road bike (kitch's old one). Bike felt good. I felt ok. Did 3 laps of the seat (10.57/11.01/11.18) Not bad. Got caught in traffic on the last one so don't think it was much slower. Have to build up to doing longer rides, back and neck a bit sore after 45mins!

Free weights session. Easy session 1. First one for a month so was pretty sore at points, didn't feel easy!

Cycling intervals (gym) 15:00 [3]

Short bike intervals session. 5 x 2min/1min. Felt pretty tired today.

Tuesday Jul 3, 2007 #

Run around Carnethy ridge race route with Mharky, Kitch and Eddie. Went easy most of the way. Ran hard up Carnethy, felt OK. First to the top by some way! Don't think Mharky was maxing it though! Foot a bit sore.
