Orienteering race 4:32:00 [3] ** 26.1 km (10:25 / km) +1350m 8:17 / km
shoes: Walsh pb trainer

OMM day 2. Early start after little sleep and waking up a bit wet was quite tough. Turned out to be a nice day though and ran without any waterproofs from just after the start. CK pushing the pace again at the start and me struggling along. Went pretty steadily until hill up to 7 where i statred to feel a bit weak. CK got a bit scared but I got plenty food down and got trough it. Last bit was tough but fastest to 9 even though tired was pretty pleasing. Finished 1st and had an interveiw from the BBC adventure show at the end. CK said it was "alright" to win. :P Cameland Doug ran well so pleased to win by 3mins today. Screwed afterwards!

Orienteering race 4:30:00 [3] 24.7 km (10:56 / km) +1950m 7:50 / km

OMM day 1. Running B class with Coombs. Started pretty strongly, Coombs pushing the pace. Passing people all the way. Course tough with some brutal climbs at the end. Tough leg up to number 9 was pretty key and we managed to win it by 12mins, mainly due to doug hitting the wall and joe missing the control by 7 minutes or so. After this CKs legs were screwed so I dragged him round the last bit. Lost 5mins on 11 which was shit, should have trusted myslef rather than a screwed ck! Good day thugh, finished with a 15min lead over Joe and Matt.

Orienteering 25:00 [2]

Some night o on Arthurs Seat. Couldn't find the event for about 20mins which was a bit annoying! Just did a few random controls. Made a few mitakes! Not really concentrating on o though, legs felt pretty good though.

Note
(rest day)

Another rest day in prep for the OMM. Well...I say a rest day, but I've actually got nine to five lectures every day this week and today had lectures at the royal in the morning and the western in the afternoon which is very shit. The Western is a hilly 25min cycle from my flat. I'm going to be there every day for the next few weeks and I tend to cycle retty hard in traffic. Not going to log it as training, but it's going to be a base.

Went to intervals and did the strides then did a lap of the meadows and then ran back via kitches to get a couple of os maps of the OMM area.
