No time for long run today. Lunch at cousins. Did some intervals with Doug around the haugh. A field newly speread with muck, a bit muddy with some standing water. Nice! Did 5 laps with a min between laps.
Tough going. I lead on laps 1,3&5 and sat behind Doug on 2&4.

Recce of the langheugh race. Propr xc course! about 20 fences! Pace was pretty slow as Andrew was plodding along until near the end where he took off. Did a fair few efforts though so was more of a fartlek. Good burn through the park at the end.

Long run with Dad and Doug. Weather was crap and would have struglled to get out on my own. Through falnnash forestry, left then back past dam, over ridge to broadlee loch, back over hill then back home ia slaidhills. Decent pace. Good to be out.

RR boxing day quiz score event. feeling a bit rubbish. running okish. got all the controls but couldn't solve the shitting anagram which everyone else could get so got beat by douglas. rubbish!

Tuesday Dec 25

Run with Doug, Andrew and Dad at midday. Along the road, up through Phaup forestry onto Greatmoor. Up to the top of the pen, loop then back over northouse to top end of bowanhill and home byt he far away faulds. Didn't feel great today. Dad running very strongly and was beyond the bounds of comfortable running keeping up at times. Pretty tired by the end. Had new hrm on. woo. went for it up greatmoor to try and get it as high as possible. got to 183 and was dying...hmm. thought it would have been higher
