Running race 17:52 [5] 3.2 km (5:35 / km) +200m 4:15 / km
ahr:173 max:180 shoes: Walsh pb racer extreme

Greenmantle dash hill race. Real killer on the legs. Felt ok at the start. Got a good leap over the fence then hit the front in the boggy feild. Lead from there right to the top of the hill. Legs sore and tired on the steep hill. Was struggling a bit with nobody to chase. Had about a 10/15s lead at the top. Then got overtaken by a penicuik harrier guy on the way down. Legs aching and shoes grip wrecked was mincing it down a bit. Hit the road and felt better than previous years. Guy was about 20m ahead. Steadily caught him without pushing too hard. Stuck behind him until the feild then sprinted past. Pretty happy with the race, time faster than last year, could have been better but I think I could have taken more time on the road if has nailed it. 16 bottles of ale to the better now:P nice

After long day of walking in the rain, tempo run in the evening. 3 big laps of the misty and very quiet meadowws. Felt pretty good. Strated steady and wound it up. Laps in 8.29, 8.06 and 7.49.
Really enjoyed it.

Rn from flat up the top of the seat then down through holyrood park, up claton hill, along princes street closed off to cars then up mound meadows, home. Went pretty hard up the seat, top in 15mins, then pretty easy after that.
