Orienteering 31:00 [4] ***** 4.1 km (7:34 / km)

contour only on roseisle. really happy with technique. decent flow and stayed in contact well. very stisfying to navigate in this stuiff. last leg where i switched off and lost myself inall the depressions was the worst one, just confirmed to me never to lose contact int hat stuff.

Second course on insriach. Rides etc on map this tiem. actually got distracted by them a bit. mistake to nol. 2 and big one to 3. dumb. focusdsed on contours after this and was better. tired byt he end. good day.

EUOC weekend training with british squad at Rogie. Felt ok. few mistakes near the start and did two controls int he wrong order, oops. Finished well though. Great to be out in the tough terrain. Collected all ther controls in afterweards int he euoc rally bus.

Training at Roseisle. Very hard on 1.15000 map. Think it needed to be one to ten. Pairs exercise pretty hard in that terrain too. Ales nailed it off on the second one. I made a big mistake on a control just into some green that had been taken off the map. Lost all energy after that and finished pretty slowly., but still 15mins ahead of Ales!

FWTN at Mark Erskines. Big day cycling with western and back plus cycle to event and back. Feeling a little weak but generally decent I think which is good. Orienteering wise I was a bit rubbish. Went well for bits and got a decent flow going, then totally lost it mucking about. Map needs work in the woods and was a bit difficult to read in the school, but thats not an excuse! Lost most time around no. 16 and on the way to 17. Which was daft. Overall enjoyed it though and felt good to be out. Can't wait for the weekend.

Had felt rubbish cycling in the morning but felt better on the way to circuits and felt ok at circuits so hopefully on the up.
