Attempt at the Ochil 2000s hill race. Not a happy day:(
Start was on forest tracks gradual uphill. Didn't feel the pace was fast, just sat in behind some of the guys as they ran along chatting. However started to feel rubbish and noticed heart rate was almost max. Legs felt like lead. Once up onto the hill proper I felt totally shafted despite been quite well off the leaders. Knew I was not making it round the next 15miles or whatever it was. Got cramp in a hamstring steeping over a fence after only 40minutes running too which was a bit weird. Luckily got a lift back to the uni from a guy watching at the top of King's seat.
Whole thing was a bit depressing. Had been feeling a bit rubbish beforehand and day before but just shrugged it off as my body trying to play tricks on me. Not sure reason. Maybe not recovered after week of nights. Few days rest then see how I'm feeling.
