Bit of beast this run. First proper assault on the Ochils. Started out from Stirling Uni with an o map and did a few controls on the way up to Dumyat. One poor direction exiting a control but otherwise ok. Top of dumyat then down the other side. Quick stop to but another top on as it got a wee bit wet. Few more controls then pocketed the o map and headed down to Menstrie Glen. Bloody steep climb on the way out of here to the top of Myreton Hill. Ate a few sultanas the north from there up the ridge to Colsnaur Hill. Good few snow drifts to contend with now. Followed the fence along the ridge, good going in between the snow. Climbed up to the top of Blairdenon Hill. Quite a lot of snow to contend with on the climb. Halfway up the sun reared it's head and lots of mist appeared evaporating off the hill. Kind of like hill was sweating! Enjoyed a few sultanas at the top then headed back down, bit of a contour after an initial descent and some tough going through tussocks and snow, then a long downhill:) finishing at the Lossburn resevoir. One final slog up the hill back to the corner of Yellowcraig wood then back down to the car. Good day out:)
