BOC relays, 1st leg for FVO Flyers. Was really looking forward to this one and it didn't dissapoint. Great wee course. Started OK quite comfortable doing my own orienteering then took a crap route to no. 5 and lost a bit of ground. Went OK for the next couple then lost a minute on the 2nd control after the bridge. Went more cleanly for the rest of the tricky bit and caught up some ground catching Matt. Caught Mark Bown at no. 22 and got a bit distracted losing 45s on 23. Worked hard to catch up a wee bit of ground to the finsih handing over to Roger just over a minute down in a wee second pack. Solid runs by Roger and Marcus bringing us home in 6th.

BOC long. First o race of the year for me! Seeded 12th...from the bottom so had the glory of holding the lead for about an hour! Finally snatched away at the death...by 14mins. Pretty decent run really. Avoided any big time loss. Enjoyed the course and the good map (thanks OJ & JJ). Legs got pretty tired in the last 3rd but finished OK. Happy enough with the result. Makes me want to get back into some proper o racing again. As sad as it is to be 1min/km down on Doug was a great day!

Felt rubbish most of the day. Good thing running. Feel much better now. Steady round the campus with Jess then a faster solo lap of the park.
