Craggy Island triathlon on Kerrera. Pretty aprehensive before the start. It was a long time since I'd done any swimming and I wasn't very good when I did it then... Actually was OK! Quite enjoyed it in the wetsuit. Probably should have tried to push a bit harder but made it accross. About 3min down on the quickest.

Transition 1. 2min38. General faffing about. Top guys did it in under 1min!
Cycling race 36:04 [3] 15.0 km (2:24 / km) +200m 2:15 / km
Mountain bike - circular route around the south of Kerrera. Started off OK. Passed a lot of people in the first quarter then started to struggle a bit with the rougher bits. Too rusty on a mountain bike. Went over the handlebars in a burn but came away fairly unscathed. Generally a bit slow over the middle third then faster over the easier finishing stretch. Good fun though. Fastest guy did 30 and he was actually behind me on the swim.

Transition 2. 1.10. Around 40s for most of the top guys. Did start running the wrong direction to start with though.
Running race 21:39 [5] 4.0 km (5:25 / km) +189m 4:23 / km
shoes: Inov8 x-talon
Final leg of the tri. A nice wee run up and over the top of the highest point on Kerrera. Went pretty well passing half a dozen folk and still felt quite strong. Quickest time by 1min30. Fun day. Great weather. Fancy doing something similar again. Now to improve my mountain biking...
