Proper SEDS winter training. 48 control Long O on Loch Vaa. The fact it was 3 degrees, raining and ice ont he ground wasn't putting anyone off. A mass start was suggested so set off in a pack with Doug, Hector, Ewan, Murray, Spongey, Nixon and Eddie, replacing Eddie with Jegor along the way. After 11 1/2 hrs sleep I was feeling much better, but first few controls were still a struggle. After that got into it and was running pretty solidly, taking a few nice lines and even managed to lead the pack on a few legs. This was a great session - Nixon described it well, live feedback about your orienteering.

Finished work at 8am - just in time for SEDS training! Session was French style trains trains in Anagach. Running with Doug, Nixon, Jegor and Spongey. Actually felt OK and even managed to win a few controls. Pretty chilly in the marshes

BASOC score event. Good few SEDS boosted the numbers. Fun course in Nethy woods. Unfortunately I hit the wall big time. Not surprising really. It's always a weird feeling, not happened in a while. Re-fuelled steadily through the day though then an early night

Night o on Tomvaich. No flags. Quite tricky and map a bit dubious. A bit tired - only 5hrs sleep after night shift today. Still good fun though - apart from feet getting bloody freezing for first 15min.

Nightime run with Doug. Up Beinn Mhor plus an extended tour in the wood at the end. Frosty ankle deep snow. Good fun.

Street o in Aviemore. Basic sort of map but still good fun. Snow and ice everywhere so dobs a good choice

Skiing 1:30:00 [2]

Skiing with Jess and Eilidh at Cairngorm. Not exactly a bluebird day but still good fun:) Skied until the light was fading.

Nightime run. Up to the mast then back down across the hill then into Dulnain. Tired after skiing but not bad.
