WOC long test. Didn't feel ill in the morning just flat but was easy decision to give it a go and see how I felt. Knew straight away I didn't feel good, legs just flat and no gear above bottom gear. Made 3 seperate mistakes on the long leg to 4. Oops. Better nav after that. Ralph and Spongey ran easily through me before the map change. Did consider stopping there but at that stage felt like grinding it out to the end just for the satifaction of finishing. Hit the butterlies then just kept wanting to walk and suddenly jacking it in became the obvious choice.
Dissapointing.
Much worse result than last years WOC test long....ho hum.

Middle test race. Feeling crap this morning and not like racing. Started OK then screwed up no.3 on the slope. Got caught by Ralph there. At the beginning of the next leg got poked by a stick or something straight in the left eye. Was struggling to see and it was hurting and watering. Briefly took my contact lens out and thought it might be torn but wasn't sure. it's my dominant eye and would have struggled without it so stuck it back in and carried on. Rest of the course was pretty average. A few small mistakes and slow. Dead on the hills towards the end. Lens is torn and eyeball scratched. Need an upturn in fortunes quickly before Sunday!
