Gorgeous day in Speyside so made the most of it. Ran from Coire Cas car park, up Windy ridge then over the saddle just below Cairngorm. Down to Loch Avon then along tp the fords of Avon. Then climbed up Beinn a' Chaorainn to tick off a new munro. Next down and up Derry Cairngorm - another new top for me. Some tough going in the first half with much of the Derry top a boulder field. Then to the saddle and up Ben Macdui. Saw the reindeer herd just about a km from the summit. Quite cool. Then the run back down all the way to the car park. Tough run but very enjoyable. Hot but not opressive. Took on a lot of water and 2 small cereal bars. Garmin is playing up cutting out a bit so had to count the climb and distance is not accurate
