Long run from Kingussie with Midge up over Craig Beag then down past Loch gynack - waist deep ditch drossed - not ideal, then up Craig Mhor - very steep heathery plod. Midge was a trooper as usual and still had the energy after that to chase two stags. Not her usual wee deer, two massive beasts. They ran away but not very fast so she was gaining on them. Ridiculous wee terrier - they disappeared over the crest of a hill with her in pursuit. Much shouting and whistling then a few minutes later she thankfully appeared in tact.
She had one more major excursion which she got a skelp for so didn't do it again though needed frequent reminding given the hill was hotching with hares - most seemingly starting to go white. Saw a few more stags too. Then over Craig Dubh and the hill beyond then back down the road and track by the Gynack and home. Feeling a bit tired and tough going on the way out so easy pace throughout.
