Long legs exercise in Airds park. Contour only. Great are but very tough. Marshes aren't only confined to the flats - they're on the slopes too. Happy with how it went - decent compass work and felt running with no kites was good. felt confident.

Mass start gaffled in Collie Nathes. Terrain felt fast after the morning. Legs pretty shattered but got going better in the middle and navigated pretty well other than one I didn't go to.....twice (wasn't the only one!) 4mins down on Spongey and Doug

Run from Coylumbridge through Rothiemurchus up Glen Einich. Snoy paradise. The further I went the deeper the snow got. For the last couple of km there were long sections of knee deep snow and mid shin at best. Very tough! Thoughts of making it to the loch soon evaporated given that I had no food etc. Turned at 1hr and enjoyable run back as the going got progressively faster.

First hill reps for ages. Usual hill in the wood. About 3 inches snow lying - a bit Narnia like. Legs not fresh but also much less sore than earlier in the week. 8 reps went by quite quickly.

Pre gym run. Quite snowy. Mixed it up a bit this week by heading into unfamiliar terrain. Started off through Anagach then into upper Tomvaich. Heavy terrain the followed a track for a bit then back into a terrain. Saw a young deer which just sat stock still as I ran within a metre of it - quite cool. Took a turn roughly towards home, through a few fields - no idea where I was. Started getting a bit unsure but just kept going until i eventually saw a light. Once I got closer turned out to be castle Grant - bonus. Huge place. Felt like the kind of place someone could pop out and shoot at you....but they didn't so made it back. Good wee adventure

6 reps of the track in the wood with Midge. Tough one as expected with legs still sore. Times a few seconds down but held them OK over the last couple even when I felt like I was toiling. Midge seems to like intervals - she gets very excited at the start of the rep!
